Occasionally we are called upon to undertake restoration work on listed buildings.

This can range from complete roof replacement to re-using existing timbers.

Customer: Black Country Museum

This large building was relocated from Cradley Heath brick by brick and timber by timber to its new site in the museum.
Our role was to install the numbered rafters, purlins and windows and door frames.

We also re-instated floor joists and galleried viewing area.

Customer: Wilson Bowden Developments


The Regent Hotel had suffered extensive fire damage. We were asked to reproduce new king post trusses and save any members that retained integrity after the fire.

We supplied and fixed all the new timbers including; rafters, ceilings, new truss sections and box gutter details.



Customer: Chase Norton Construction


A historic building that had remained derelict for years.

We supplied and fixed king post trusses and all ceilings and rafters.

We then laid a floor within the attic area and supplied and fixed rooflights.The job was completed with fascia and tongued and grooved soffit.

Private Customer


After Stripping all the rotten rafters we were left with badly distorted oak purlins. The customer wanted most of these to be retained. New rafters were fitted requiring individual notches to give a flat plane prior to tiling.

Conservation rooflights were also added.
